The general term "kung fu" encompasses both Northern Shao Lin, the rapid, powerful style popularized in the movies, and Tai Chi Chuan, the slower and more gentle style. Our founder, Grandmaster Chian Ho Yin, taught his students both Northern Shao Lin, an "external," or "hard" style, and Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan, a soft, internal style.

In fact, Grandmaster Yin believed the knowledge and practice of both styles was important to achieve balance in one's life.

Wu Style Tai Chi Chuan has been a significant part of the Chinese Kung Fu center since the day it was founded, and we continue to offer classes to all levels of Tai Chi students on Mondays and Wednesdays, as well as during open practice on Sundays. Please see our Class Schedule for more information.
